A Positive Voice for Chisago Lakes Schools

Passionate about Family, Community, and Education

I have been married to my husband, Doug, for 36 years. We have two adult children, Mitchell and Danielle, and a daughter and son-in-law, Allison (Borgstrom) Berg and Jesse Brooks. Our family made Chisago Lakes home in 1998 and immediately became involved in the community in multiple ways. We were drawn to Chisago Lakes by the beautiful lakes, rivers, and trails and held by the people and sense of community here.

Involvement in the Chisago schools and community has been a family affair.

Our kids started in the school system through ECFE and LARA sports programs, and both graduated from Chisago Lakes High School.  Mitch and Danielle were involved in many sports and activities, and Doug volunteered, coached multiple sports, and served on the LARA board. Danielle recently left a career in finance to serve as the Aquatics and Wildcat Community Center Manager. My son continues to play basketball and softball with his CL friends, even if it means a drive from Hudson, WI to do so. The friendships and support we have found in this community have been a gift to us.

We love this community and the people in it.

Our family values a strong public school system and believes that our schools are at the heart of this great community. It has always been a privilege to play a role in keeping our schools a leader in the area.
